Esquif - Raven OC1
Esquif Raven OC-1 Canoe
The Raven is the product of two exceptional canoe minds working together. Bob Foote, world renowned paddler, teacher, and designer, brought his depth of on-water experience to this hull, while Esquif founder Jacques Chasse contributed the craftsmanship and material knowledge that has defined the brand since its earliest boats. The result is a solo whitewater canoe that genuinely grows with the paddler rather than locking them into a single skill level.
Soft chines and good initial stability give newer paddlers the confidence to learn edge control without feeling like the boat is working against them. As skills develop, the same hull rewards more aggressive tilting, faster turning, and precise carving -- the kind of performance that keeps experienced paddlers engaged long after they've outgrown most beginner-friendly designs. Symmetrical rocker of 4.5 inches at both bow and stern keeps the handling balanced and predictable in both directions.
At 50 lbs in T-Formex, it's a durable and honest whitewater canoe built for real river use. Factory-installed outfitting and wood gunwales are available as upgrades for paddlers who want a more fully configured setup.
