NRS - Expedition DriDuffel Dry Bag
NRS - Expedition DriDuffel Dry Bag
When the contents of your dry bag absolutely cannot get wet, the closure system and construction quality matter more than anything else. The NRS Expedition DriDuffel is built around both.
The TRU Zip closure is the centrepiece, a toothless waterproof seal that is self-repairing in the field, so a snag on a zipper tooth mid-trip is never a concern. Paired with RF welded seams and heavy-duty PVC-free material that resists UV degradation and abrasion, the result is a dry bag rated to IPX7, meaning full submersion protection for 30 minutes at up to one metre depth. That covers everything from a capsize on a Canadian river to a dunking in the surf zone. The material handles season after season of serious use without breaking down.
The design is practical for rigging and packing. A stackable flat base makes loading a canoe, kayak, or raft significantly easier, and two compression straps reduce bulk and stabilise gear inside the bag. The 12-litre option works as a submersible lap bag for essentials you want within reach in the cockpit, while larger sizes suit overnighters and extended tripping. Larger duffels include a removable padded shoulder strap and end handles for hauling up steep riverbanks or through portages, while the 12-litre comes with a removable unpadded carry strap.
