The two-piece construction breaks down for easy transport to the water and can be stored inside most kayak hulls, which is a practical advantage over a single-piece pole. A wear-resistant UV-stable nylon foot on one end is shaped for paddling, while the tip on the other end stakes firmly into soft bottom. The fiberglass body keeps weight down to 1.8 lbs without sacrificing the rigidity you need when pushing off bottom or holding position against current. For deeper water applications, a 46" extension is available separately, bringing total length to 12' for a capable push pole setup.
