Esker - Hot Tent Combo - Arctic Fox 10x10 & Huron Stove
Esker - Hot Tent Combo - Arctic Fox 10x10 & Huron Stove
Staying warm and dry in the backcountry when winter hits hard starts with having the right shelter, and the Arctic Fox is built specifically for that job.
Made in Ontario from 10.10 oz Sunforger army duck cotton canvas with double-sewn, flat-felled seams, the Arctic Fox is a purpose-built winter hot tent that meets Canadian tent and fire safety regulations. The adjustable air vent manages temperature and helps clear smoke when you're getting the stove lit, and the two-way zipper keeps cold drafts out when you're coming and going. No pole kit needed: stake the corners, guy out the sidewalls, and use a pole or stave from the surrounding bush to pitch it. At 8.5 kg, it's a kilogram and a half lighter than the Classic, which matters when you're hauling gear into the backcountry. Guy lines and a nylon carrying bag are included.
The Huron stove is a natural partner for this tent. Its 34.5 L burn chamber produces solid, sustained heat for a group in a 10' x 10' space, while keeping the packed size manageable for backcountry travel. The damper and draft control door let you fine-tune the burn, and Esker's snow float legs use on-site branches or poles to keep the stove stable. All pipes nest inside the stove box so nothing rattles loose in transit.
