Malone FoldAway-J Folding Kayak Carrier

Carrying a kayak on its side in a J-style carrier is one of the most efficient ways to use roof rack space, and a fold-down design means the carriers aren't adding unnecessary height to your vehicle when the boat comes off.

The Malone FoldAway-J is a folding J-style kayak carrier that collapses to just 3.5" tall for low-clearance parking and easy storage when not in use. Universal mounting adapters fit round, square, and oval load bars from most factory and aftermarket rack systems, and dual mount locations lock the carrier firmly in place and eliminate the side-to-side movement that can develop with single-point mounting over time. Two bolt lengths are included to achieve the best fit across different bar profiles, and the carrier base accommodates bars up to 1.5" tall by 3.5" wide.

Each set includes two 11' cam buckle load straps and bow and stern safety lines with S-hooks for a complete single-kayak rooftop transport setup right out of the box. At 10 lb for the pair and a 75 lb per boat load limit, it handles most recreational and touring kayaks without issue.

Note: Bow and stern safety tie-downs are required for all Malone rooftop transports. Always refer to Malone's Fit Guide for approved vehicle fit before installing.
