NRS uses their HyproTex 2.5 fabric here, a lightweight, breathable, and fully waterproof material with factory-taped seams to keep water out at every stitch line. High-wear zones get a double layer of HyproTex for added durability where it counts most, and the whole pant is PFAS-free, so you're not trading environmental accountability for performance.

What sets these apart from a generic waterproof pant is the Paddler's Cut, which accounts for the seated position you're actually in on the water. The longer crotch and articulated knees mean you're not fighting your gear every time you take a stroke or shift your weight. The high-rise neoprene waist sits flush to the body and reduces bunching under a PFD or drysuit top, which any paddler who's spent a full day in a cockpit will appreciate.

The relaxed fit slides easily over insulating layers, so they work from early spring right through to late fall paddling in Canada. A single thigh pocket with a water-resistant AquaGuard zipper keeps essentials within reach, and the hook-and-loop ankle closures let you dial in the fit over booties or camp footwear.
