Zegul - Reval HV A Core
Zegul Reval HV A Core
Bigger paddlers who want a capable British-style sea kayak that handles genuine open-water conditions have fewer good options than they should. The Zegul Reval HV fills that gap.
The HV is the high-volume sibling in the Reval series, built specifically for larger paddlers who need a roomier fit without sacrificing performance. At 17'5" with a 23.6-inch beam, it carries a serious load up to 342 lbs while staying responsive and manoeuvrable on the water. The upswept bow and stern combined with a rockered hull make this boat notably easy to turn for its size, and it handles challenging sea conditions with the composure you'd expect from a well-designed British-style touring kayak.
The shallow V-hull delivers quick acceleration and confident straight-line speed, while the A-Core fibreglass construction brings real-world toughness to the equation. Sandwich deck construction, a reinforced keel, and aramid internal and external seam taping mean this boat is built to handle the rocky shores and variable conditions common across Canadian coastal and Great Lakes paddling. Three hatches with a combined 195 litres of storage give you enough capacity for multi-day touring, and the retractable skeg manages crosswinds and current when you need to hold a course. A SmartTrack rudder is available as a custom order option for paddlers who want additional control in demanding conditions.
